FAQ
This page is the short-answer version of the docs.
If you need the full reasoning behind an answer, move into the related guide. If you just need a quick answer before continuing your work, start here.
Where should I start each week?
Start with the Weekly Checklist.
That page is the best entrypoint because it keeps the systems in the right order:
- contracts
- race assignments
- sponsorships
- finances
I signed a driver. Why is the car still not ready?
Because signing the contract is not the last step.
You still need to place that driver on the correct car and races through Race Assignments.
A contract makes the driver eligible. The assignment makes the driver operational.
Why am I not seeing the same controls as another team member?
Because the organization system uses both:
- organization-wide permissions
- car-scoped permissions
Two members can belong to the same team and still see different pages, buttons, or accounts.
Use the Permissions page if you are trying to understand who should see what.
Why do I have both an organization account and car accounts?
Because the finance system separates team-level money from car-level operating money.
In practical terms:
- organization-level support and overhead belong to the organization account
- most race-week money belongs to the car account
If finance looks wrong, the first question should be whether you are looking at the correct account.
Why did sponsor relationship not increase right after I accepted the deal?
Because sponsor relationship is based on completed sponsored races, not just on accepting the sponsor.
That is intentional. The relationship system is meant to reflect delivered results, not just signed paperwork.
Why does a race still show a sponsor alert after I accepted one sponsor?
Because the race alert is race-level, not single-slot only.
If the race still has:
- an open slot
- or active offers waiting on another slot
then the race can still show as needing sponsorship attention.
Why do I not see a sponsor in the Relationships tab?
Because the Relationships page only shows sponsors your car has actually worked with before.
If the car has never signed with that sponsor, the sponsor will not appear in the relationship list.
Why can I not use Emergency Sponsorship?
The emergency tool only works when all of the following are true:
- the slot is still open
- the race is within seven days
- the sponsor is already in your relationship history
- the sponsor still has inventory left
- you have not already contacted that sponsor for that race and slot
If any of those checks fail, the request is blocked.
Why is a contract shown as scheduled instead of active?
Because the contract start date is still in the future.
This is most common with extensions. The extension exists now, but it does not activate until the prior deal ends.
Why is a contract visible but not behaving like I expected?
Check:
- whether it is active or scheduled
- whether the event date is inside the contract term
- whether the contract type allows that event to count
- whether the driver was actually assigned correctly
A visible contract is not always an active contract.
Why did salary not post even though the driver has a contract?
The usual causes are:
- the contract expired
- the contract was scheduled, not active
- the event date fell outside the contract term
- the assignment or charge target did not line up correctly
If salary looks wrong, start with Contracts and Finances.
Why does sponsorship money not show up immediately after I accept an offer?
Because sponsor income is posted when the sponsorship commitment is settled during event close.
Accepting the sponsor creates the commitment. The race result and event close process turn that commitment into finance activity.
What should I do first when something looks wrong?
Do not start by checking every page.
Use Something Looks Wrong and find the first broken dependency instead.
That is the fastest way to get to the real issue.
Which page should I use the most as an organization owner?
In practice, the most important recurring pages are:
Those are the pages that control the real weekly operating flow.
